Comparative study on composition, physicochemical
In our present study, the composition of fatty acids differed according to both the variety and the species of the tested KSO. Interestingly, the highest linolenic acid content in KSO had a higher content than flaxseed seed oil (FSO) (58.01%), which was approximately ten-fold higher than the content of soybean seed oil (SSO) (6.69%).
The kiwi fruit is the edible berry of a cultivar group of the woody vine of several Actinidia species. The most common commercially available, green-fleshed kiwi fruit is the cultivar ‘Hayward’, which belongs to the Actinidia deliciosa species. An antioxidative screening of kiwi fruit components (peel and pulp) crude extracts was carried out using specific assay media characterized for the
Recent Advances on Application of SpringerLink
Agro-industrial by-products are rich sources of natural bioactive compounds and their valorisation is a must for global food sustainability. Along with conventional techniques, numerous novel methods have been developed and optimised to facilitate extraction of the bioactives in sustainable and efficient manner. This review summarises the recent advances in the application of novel extraction

Extraction techniques of medicinal plants
Extraction techniques of Medicinal plants Extraction, as the term is used pharmaceutically, involves the separation of medicinally active portions of plant or animal tissues from the inactive or inert components by using selective solvents in standard extraction procedures. The products so obtained from plants are relatively
The effects of drying conditions (sun and oven drying) and solvent type (petroleum ether, acetone and hexane) on the physiochemical, proximate and multivitamin composition of Treculia africana were investigated. Breadfruit samples were collected from Ogwu area of Enugu State, processed and subjected to physiochemical, proximate and multivitamin screening using standard methods of analysis.
