Extraction and Physicochemical Characterization
The aim of this study was to extract mucilage from O. cochenillifera (L.) cacti and determine its functional and physicochemical properties. The best mucilage yield (31%) was obtained by nonthermal extraction with hydration. The mucilage has appreciable carbohydrate and protein contents. The phytochemical analysis shown the presence of alkaloids and terpenes/steroids.
Seed oil of a native J. curcas contained negligible content of phorbol esters.. Jatropha curcas seed oil inhibited F. oxysporum f. sp. gladioli mycelial growth.. Some fractions of the seed oil affected F. oxysporum conidial germination.. Fractioning indicates that triacylglycerides were the dominant lipids.

SFE of black pepper oil, rosemary oil, spearmint oil,oil from some Mexican spices, peppermint 3.2. Optimization of supercritical fluid extraction. An adverse effect of temperature on yield was observed. Monoterpenes which have higher volatility, lower molecular-weight and lower polarity were extracted at the beginning of the process.

Optimized ultrasonic-assisted extraction of polysaccharides from Cyclina sinensis and evaluation of antioxidant activities in vitro.
It first investigates the local environmental and social impacts of the Mexican jatropha program in two states, Chiapas and Michoacan, where jatropha was introduced as a smallholder crop in 2008 and is mainly replacing maize; then, it looks at the global environmental impacts by making a carbon balance analysis for the case of one jatropha
