Cameroon: In 2017, the number of barrels of crude oil
(Business in Cameroon) Société nationale des hydrocarbures (SNH) informs that Cameroon has sold 16.86 million barrels of crude oil in 2017, against 20.51 million in 2016.Between the two periods, this represents a decrease by 3.65 million barrels. According to SNH, the decline observed is due to a fall in production.
Cameroon became a modest oil exporter in 1977, with production peaking at 185,000 bpd in 1985. Since then, it declined steadily to about 55,000 bpd in 2010/11 due to maturing fields.
Cameroon Production of crude oil, 2010-2025
Cameroon production of crude oil was at level of 69 thousand barrels per day in July 2025, unchanged from the previous month. Includes crude oil, shale oil, oil sands and NGLs ( the liquid content of natural gas where this is recovered separately). Excludes liquid fuels from other sources such as biomass and coal derivatives.
(Business in Cameroon) Over the first nine months of this year, Cameroon’s crude output stood at 18.82 million barrels, the national oil company (SNH) announced at the end of a Board meeting December 4, in Yaoundé.

Cameroon crude oil reserves was at level of 72 thousand barrels per day in September 2025, unchanged from the previous month. Proved reserves of crude oil as of January 1 of the report year are the estimated quantities of all liquids defined as crude oil, which geological and engineering data demonstrate with reasonable certainty to be recoverable in future years from reservoirs under existing

Oil & Gas Production recovery for Cameroon
Production recovery for Cameroon. After years of decline, the Cameroon oil industry now has a more positive story to tell. It was never an oil producer of the same order as neighbors: Gabon, Congo-Brazzaville or more latterly Equatorial Guinea, with production peaking at 180,000 b/d in 1988.
This paper analyzes the crude oil sector and examines the causal relationship between crude oil production and economic growth in Cameroon on the basis of annual data for the period 1977–2010.
Oil Palm Development in Cameroon Panda
Cameroon took over the production of palm oil with the creation of public sector companies like Société des Palmeraies (which later became SOCAPALM), PAMOL and CDC. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER), Cameroon produced 230,000 tons of crude palm oil in 2010, across an estate of approximately 190,000 hectare.
The upstream oil industry is a key element in the economy of Cameroon. It has estimated reserves of 740 million barrels of oil and 3.9 Tcf of gas. In 1999, it is estimated that crude oil production
